Saved or Born-Again?

Rom 12:2 …that ye may prove what is that good (saved), and acceptable (born again), and perfect (born of God), will of God.

1Ti 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

It is becoming evident as we move forward that it is important to establish the difference between being born-again and the lesser stage of being “saved”.

Being ‘saved’ is good, but being born again is ‘acceptable’, meaning you have accepted Yashua as the sacrifice for your sins and you have accepted to be crucified, buried, and resurrected with Him. Take a minute to really meditate these next verses. Notice how this is NOT what is being taught and preached in most churches. Why? Because you would have to be ‘born again’ to appreciate these verses:

Rom 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Rom 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Rom 6:5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Rom 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. Rom 6:7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.

Rom 6:8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:

If you are still in the ‘way’ but have not yet tasted of Divine Nature, then these verses will be intimidating at the least and most likely will not even register as being personally meaningful. If you are in the process or ‘way’ of salvation, you may honor these words but with little or no consciousness being formed within you about them. If you are born again, then Paul’s words will get mixed with faith (identity) within you and you will want to chew on them and absorb the nutrients within them, for within these words you feel His freedom calling your name.

The Way and the Tree

Gen 3:24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way (derek) of the tree of life.

The journey by which we can understand the two different paradigms (born again and saved) takes us all the way back to the Garden, in which was placed the Tree of Life.

We don’t discover until Adam is removed from the Garden that there is actually a ‘way’ to the Tree of life.

We can see in this opening verse that there is a ‘way’ and there is a ‘tree’. You must first walk in the ‘way’ before you can come to the Tree to eat. The way is a pre-requisite to the Tree.

There is a ‘way’ to the Tree of Life and then there is the Tree of Life. If you are on the ‘way’, or IN the Way, then you are following the Words of the Shepherd and you are ‘being’ saved. Eventually, as you learn Truth upon Truth, the ‘way’ to the Tree leads to the Tree, and when you eat of its fruit, you are born again, for the fruit of That Tree is life.

At the Tree you feed on Life. Life is the very nature of Elohym:

Joh 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

Joh 5:26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself…

Joh 10:10 I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

This ‘Life’ that is in the Father and that is in the Son is Light, and that Light is not natural light but the Glory Light that is not created but rather creative. This ‘life’ is in the Tree, but it is not in the ‘way’.

The Life is with you in the Way in the Person of the Holy Spirit, and when you eat of the Tree the Holy Spirit comes to live inside of you. That is a major shift. Yashua said it this like this:

Joh 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Glory is God’s Nature

Glory is the Nature of God. When you are born-again by the Word of God (the precious promises) you become partakers of this Glory Light which is Divine Nature:

1Pe 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

2Pe 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

We escape “the corruption” only when we are born again “not of corruptible seed but of incorruptible”. Being born again is a very real thing with very real consequences.

Many think that it is simply believing with your heart and confessing with your mouth. No. This is how you get ‘saved’:

Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Rom 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

When you are ‘saved’ you are still on the path of Life. You are in the DeReK (way) of Life. Yashua is the “Way, Truth, and the Life”. You get led by the Holy Spirit, who is on the outside of you, on the Way - into the Truth - to the Life.

When you taste of Life you know it. You don’t wonder if you have been born again. You know something inside of you has been changed. You know the weight of sin has been rolled off of you and you know that you are free. You are now excited and you now have new strength to run the race ahead of you.

Life is Glory Light which is Divine Nature. When you finally repent and accept His Identity as your own you become born again. Being born again is giving Him your old sin nature and accepting His Divine Glory Nature as your own. Being born again is accepting the gift of eternal life and becoming a Divine elohym being.

When you are truly born again, you get adopted and you know that you know that you are a child of God:

Rom 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

The Way of Holiness

Isa 35:8 And an highway shall be there, and a way (DeReK), and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.

We see in this verse that the “highway” is “the way of holiness”. The Way that we are to walk upon to ‘find Christ’ is a way of holiness. When the Father begins to draw you to His Son, He does so by His Spirit which is Holy.

Joh 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Joh 6:45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.

His Spirit is the Holy Spirit, which is the Holy Breath. When the Father is drawing you then conviction of sin begins to set in, and you begin to look at what in your life you need to leave behind. You begin to question your existence.

If a person thinks that they are ‘finding God’ by any “way” that is not actually Holy, then they are listening to a familiar spirit and not the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit leads you on a Holy path. In other words, when the Father is drawing you, then you will ask questions like the men did in the verses below:

Luk 18:18 And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

Act 16:30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

These questions lead a person to walk in the Way and to seek Truth. Every time they bow the knee to Truth they are one step closer to true relationship with Yashua. We know that not all that start out by seeking Him actually become born again, because Yashua addresses this issue in the following dramatic statement:

Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
