Despising the Shame

Heb 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

From G2596 and G5426; to think against, that is, disesteem: - despise.

Do you see the beauty in this? Despising the shame… “to think against and to disesteem”.

He has given us permission to despise, to set our mind against, and to dis-esteem the shame that others try to put upon us. Feel His anger burn against the shame!

When you ‘think against’ something you think its opposite. You turn everything the devil says to you into a positive.

When I was a childish child, we used to say, “I know you are but what am I?” when someone would call us a name. We would turn it back on them. It shut down the name calling quick, as irritating as it was.

That is what we kind of do with the devil. When He says you are weak, you say, “I know you are but what am I?” Let’s change the statement to make it better.

“Devil, I know you are weak, but I am filled with Might from my Father’s Glory!”

When he says to you, “you will never make it, you are going to fail, you are worthless”, you say back to him “Devil, your future is the Lake of Fire and you have already failed. You are of such little value, power, and authority, that I simply ignore you and keep looking at Yashua the Word”.

After this you can quote the next two scriptures to him (or others that are especially tempting), thus shoving the Word of God down his throat. After this he will leave you alone after a while.

Php 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

2Co 2:14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

If you keep doing this over and over you will have a hard time finding the devil because he will always be running from you.

Deu 28:7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.

Visualize this about all those that rise up against you. They will be smitten by the 7 Realms shining from your being and they shall flee 7 ways. Yahweh will drive them from before your face and He will smite them.

Look at the Word ‘smite’ below in Hebrew.

That’s what we do to our demon enemies, and all the humans that will not let go of the demons fleeing from us will suffer the same fate as the demons…unfortunately for them (they have my pity).

This speaks deeply to our identity as conquerors and those who tread down serpents and scorpions in our inheritance of dominion.

Mal 4:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

Mal 4:3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.

Rom 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

A Sweet Fragrance

Look at the following verse, 15 &16, in 2nd Corinthians:

2Co 2:15 For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:

2Co 2:16 To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?

As we quote scripture like the Son of God we become a “savour of Christ”. This is because in Him we are Christ. Remember Christ is a many membered body:

Rom 12:5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another

1Co 12:12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

As we give off the ‘fragrance’ of Christ (the smeared and resurrected One), we give off the fragrance of life and victory. To some people, this is “death unto death”, and to others it is “life unto life”. If you are trying to keep your flesh alive, the fragrance of Christ is death to you. If you are trying to kill your flesh or keep it dead, then we in Christ are life to you.

This is why we despise “the shame”. We know that the shame coming from them is just an attempt on their part to keep their flesh alive. We know that for them to attack us in such a way means that we are scaring them. They are trying to take us down with shame in a psychological warfare manner because they actually have no power over us otherwise ( I speak of the principalities here, most of the time the humans they are riding or possessing are only subconsciously aware of this activity). They have to get us to defeat ourselves with shame because they cannot defeat us by spiritual force. These are the principalities in the people attacking or shaming us.

We “always triumph” in Christ ‘the resurrected and oiled One’. The Oil is His fragrance upon us. We are Messiah…for we are His Body. He has restored us to our throne…Glory and Hallelujah!

Treading Upon Serpents and Scorpions

Luk 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Serpents and scorpions. Serpents strike at your very identity by poisoning you against the Word of Yahweh. They twist the Word just like a snake twists around something in the natural. They do this from the inside out through iniquity.

A scorpion is something different. The scorpion is also after your identity, but it attacks from the outside in through sin consciousness. A scorpion entity will scourge you and beat you as with a knotted whip to get you to bow to its projection of shame and guilt. Be not condemned under such activity.

Look at the Hebrew word for scorpion below:

Of uncertain derivation; a scorpion; figuratively a scourge or knotted whip: - scorpion.

“A scourge or knotted whip”. This is figuratively what a scorpion is.

Notice the scorpion is Ay-Q-R-B. From the Red Dictionary, are the following definitions for Ay-Q-R, which is the word ‘scorpion’ without the BeYT at the end:

To pluck, to root up; to sterilize; barren, sterile, unfruitful; basis, foundation, principle, fundamental law

Now add the BeYT at the end of each of those definitions so that you get:

“to pluck up the house by the roots”.

“To sterilize the house and make it barren”.

“To make the house unfruitful by removing its foundation upon which it is built, which are the principles and fundamental Laws of Yahweh”.

Now we can see what the scorpion’s sting does. It specifically is about destroying the household of Yahweh by removing from us His foundations and principles which we begin to let go of because of the constant whipping and scourging of the shame from demons…through thoughts and through people.

These ‘foundations and principles’ are actually the power of His Name within us…the power of identity. The serpent and the scorpion are after the same thing. They are after your identity within you, but they go after it in different ways. The Serpent tries to take you down from within by twisting the Word of God to you, while the scorpion tries to take you down from the outside by the weakening of shame and guilt. Remember “no condemnation”? This is where it applies.

Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

The condemnation of guilt and shame makes us barren and unfruitful as we languish in the sting of it.

Not any more. Now we know to set our mind against this. Now we know to “despise the shame”, and we now know what this means and how to do it.

We “exercise our mind” on things above. We replace those thoughts with His thoughts based on His principles and His Laws. And we do it with an attitude that we are a mountain that cannot be moved and that crushes the feet of every principality around us until the wind of the Ruach Qodesh blows the dust of their memories away from us. As the dust leaves us His thoughts are established in their place.

Perhaps it is better said that as His thoughts are established in us by our laboring with the Holy Spirit in such matters, and that it is then, during the establishing of His thoughts, that their dust leaves us. We labor to enter His rest.

Isa 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

Isa 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Col 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

Col 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

Php 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

When we ignore the enemies shame and instead set our mind on things above where our Father thinks from, we are actively resisting the devil and he flees:

Jas 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
